Apple: The Reggae Girlz World Cup Journey
Jamaica’s national women’s football team, the Reggae Girlz, have been fighting for the right to represent their country since the 1990s, becoming the first Caribbean women’s team to compete on the world’s biggest stage. In collaboration with Cedella Marley and photographer Rose Marie Cromwell, we set out to tell their story with honesty and power. The work premiered on Apple’s Instagram ahead of the New York Times and was captured entirely on iPhone. I oversaw the creative and editorial strategy for the project. Apple’s Instagram broke this story before the New York Times.
