Ola Cubana is a Shot on iPhone film that follows a small group from Cuba’s emerging surf community. Their story captures the early days of a movement, the challenges of building a sport in a developing nation, and the rising interest in surfing across the island. The film follows their hope of competing in the 2020 Olympic Games and hints at how far the sport could grow in Cuba. I led the creative on location and through post-production.
